We look to the highest degree toward the Welfare of the child.

The word Welfare encompasses both the Well-being and the general Interest of the child.

Economic and Moral Freedom, Virtue, Empathy and Altruism, Satisfying Work through commitment to demanding tasks, a flourishing network  of Personal relationships, earning the esteem of others, whether one seeks a Meaning broader than their own existence and has at the center of their life one or a few significant Relationships, all defined by love.

 Welfare is a social concept.

The complex network of a child’s relationships with family and friends is a vital component.

No child is an Island.

 Judge Lord Lindley, 1893
